Eurobend is the only machine manufacturer worldwide to offer multi-line wire straightening machines with simultaneously operating straightening rotors – the “MELC Polyline” series.

The company offers a full range of high-performance automatic straightening machines for different wire qualities covering the diameter range from 2mm up to 12mm.

High output machines with two or three rotor versions are available. The same or different size rotors can be used on the same machine depending on the required diameters to be processed and/or production rates to be achieved. Total output speeds can reach up to 250m/min

Depending on the production requirements, the rotors/lines can all be operated simultaneously, individually or in any order. The same or different diameters are processed by each rotor and the same or different lengths are cut off. Maximum flexibility in production operations is guaranteed.

Exceptional flexibility is offered, as based on different production requirements, the rotors can operate simultaneously, individually and in any order. Any combination of diameters can be processed on each rotor and the same or different lengths are cut off.

The unique rotor straightening system from Eurobend, guarantess excellent straightening accuracies of better than 1/1000. Thanks to the very low friction between the wire and the straightening roller, no heat is generated as with conventional methods with straightening dies or regular straightening rollers, the surface is not damaged and the energy costs are reduced by up to 40%.

The low friction operation guarantees that the lifespan of the hyperbolic rollers is extremely longer. There is no need for any readjustments, as this is the case with the hardened metal dies of the conventional straightening systems. The excellent straightening quality is guaranteed in the long term. Along with the modern monitoring electronics a minimal use of personnel is ensured.

Depending on the model, two types of length measuring systems are available.

– a numerical measuring system, type “NC”, with a rotary encoder. Length accuracies of ±1mm-2mm are achieved.

– a mechanical stop system, type “MS”, where a length accuracy of ±0.1mm is achieved

Flying cutting units with a sophisticated design ensure a clean, burr-free, round cutting surface without interrupting the wire feed and damaging the material.
