Multiwire drawing line  Based on Niehoff's close cooperation with wire and cable manufacturers as development partners, the company has continuously refined and enhanced MMH technology. The latest and outstanding result of these efforts is the “MMH 112 + RM 202 + S 632” type multiwire drawing line designed for copper and aluminum wires.

A new addition to the successful “FMU+” series The “FMU+” series from Wafios is world-renowned for its flexible production technology for torsion, extension and extended loop springs. The new “FMU 100+” is capable of bending, winding and coiling wires with a diameter of 10mm, while the optional integrated Kuka robot facilitates component handling. The machine will make its debut at “wire” in Düsseldorf.

New “RIC 400” model, break-ring, continuous casting technology  At “wire 2024”, Rautomead introduced their new “RIC 400” model, break-ring, continuous casting technology which has been developed to process cobalt alloy, nickel alloy and iron alloy wire rods from 2.5mm to 50mm diameter.

Instantaneous mass flow control for rolling mills Prysmian, a global market leader in energy and telecommunication cables and systems, prints extrusion products at its plant in Neustadt near Coburg, Germany, with solutions from Leibinger.

Supervisory Board appoints Hubertus Breier German DDD Group, based in Dorsten, North Rhine-Westphalia, took over the business activities of the Italian company Sovatec s.r.l. at the beginning of July 2024.

Luxshare’s investment boosts Leoni’s competitiveness A transformative partnership has been established: With Luxshare’s investment, Leoni AG, and its Wiring Systems Division (WSD), gain an additional powerful shareholder, significantly enhancing market access, technological innovation, and financial stability. Simultaneously, the Luxshare subsidiary Time Interconnect Singapore will acquire the Automotive Cable Solutions (ACS) division from Leoni AG.

Welding trapezoidal wire Cold pressure welding, well-established as a method of bonding round wire and rod, can also be used to bond other forms of nonferrous material, such as strip and profile. British company PWM Ltd has developed specialist machines to help manufacturers improve productivity, reduce operating costs and minimize waste.

Investment doubles hot coiling manufacturing capacity The Lesjöfors Group, world-leaders in spring and pressing manufacture, has seen an increase in demand for its large diameter spring product range and consequently has invested over one million euros in the purchase of an additional hot coiling line.
