02/04/2026 – A long-term vision for spring manufacturing
Coiling the future
At BB Spring Technology, “Coiling the Future” means designing and building machines that are made to perform, not only today, but for years to come. BB Spring Technology Srl offers a complete portfolio including spring coiling machines, pay-offs, and tool grinding solutions, all developed to ensure precision, durability, and consistent production results.
Their spring coiling machines cover wire diameters from 0.10mm up to 25mm and are engineered for structural stability and operational flexibility. They can be equipped with advanced quality-control systems such as SPC Vision (single or double camera) and high-speed sorting units, ensuring reliable and repeatable output even in demanding production environments. Each configuration is tailored to specific customer requirements, combining customisation with mechanical robustness.
To guarantee stable wire feeding, their pay-offs, with capacities ranging from 20kg to 3,000kg, automatically synchronise with machine speed. Equipped with CE protection systems and dedicated solutions for oil-tempered wire, they support safe and continuous operation across different production scales.
Completing the production chain, the tool grinding machines ensure precise tool preparation, contributing to dimensional consistency and reduced wear over time.
Because reliability is not measured on the day a machine is installed, but years later, when it continues to produce with stability, accuracy, and consistency, BB Spring's engineering philosophy has always focused on long-term performance.
For this reason, alongside the development of new spring coiling machines, they keep on working on their Revamped Program: a structured technical process designed to give existing machines a second industrial life.
Each revamped machine undergoes complete disassembly and inspection of mechanical components. Electrical parts, drives, and motors are replaced with latest-generation systems. The machine is then reassembled, updated according to current standards, and fully tested before delivery.
A Practical Example: CNC 600 (1995)
A recent Revamped project involved a “CNC 600” machine originally built in 1995. After nearly three decades of operation, the machine underwent full mechanical verification, complete electrical renewal with latest-generation drives and motors, and rebuilding of the electrical cabinet in compliance with current standards. The upgraded system is now Industry 4.0 ready, equipped with “OPC-UA” protocol for integration into modern production environments. The result is not simply a refurbished machine, but a renewed production asset, ready to continue reliable operation for many years to come. In this way, reliability is not redefined, it is rebuilt.
For BB Spring, coiling the future means combining innovation with responsibility, supporting new projects, enhancing existing equipment, and building long-term partnerships based on technical trust. At “wire 2ß026” BB Spring technology look forward to discussing how stability, modernisation, and engineering continuity can become a competitive advantage.
