José Gramaxo to retire after 47 years
Wireco has announced that José Luís Gramaxo, President of its Global Synthetics Division, will retire at the end of 2025 after 47 years in the rope and netting industry.

Having joined Royal Lankhorst Euronete Group decades ago, Gramaxo became one of the sector’s most respected figures, known for his personal leadership style and commitment to colleagues worldwide. He will remain with the company as an advisor to CEO Keith White to support a smooth transition. White praised Gramaxo as “a true icon in this industry,” adding that Wireco’s succession and continuity plans have been under preparation for three years to ensure stable operations. José will continue in his current role as President, Global Synthetics, until Dec. 31, ensuring there is little disruption to the business.
