Spiral brushes – always a well-rounded solution

Spiral brushes with inward-facing filaments made of polypropylene, polyamide or wire are a proven tool for removing scale residues, powder drawing agents and dust from materials with a circular cross-section.

The outer diameter, fill material and fill thickness determine the degree of hardness and flexibility of the brushes and thus the impact on the material surface. Bristles made of brass-plated steel wire or stainless steel reliably reduce loose particles and dry drawing agents on wires and rods made of steel and stainless steel. Plastic bristles are suitable for pre- and final cleaning of more sensitive surfaces. They are used to reduce loose powder drawing agents, dirt and fines - often before forming processes. Spiral brushes with PP bristles are also suitable for use in wet-chemical cleaning baths.

The spiral brushes offered by Geo-Reinigungstechnik are available as standard in outer diameters of 40mm, 57mm and 80mm. The inward-facing bristles are usually overlapping. The length of the brushes is 1 meter. They are cut to length as required. Special shapes with a core hole for larger material diameters complete the range of this universally applicable tool. With the spiral brush box “SBB” as an accessory and the two rotation units “DRB SCS” and “DRB WCS”, Geo offers both simple and efficient systems for use in combination with the spiral brushes.

While the “SBB” box, equipped with a slotted brush fixing device, slanted base and exhaust connection for discharging accumulated dust, is virtually “the home for your brush”, the two “DRB” rotation systems are an even more effective solution for cleaning various wire and cable surfaces with spiral brushes. The rotation increases the stripping effect of this universal tool and effectively reduces the build-up of dirt on the bristles.
