Visitors will find the IWMA team in hall E1, booth D 52, where the association will once again provide a welcoming meeting point for members, partners and guests throughout the exhibition.

The stand is set to offer IWMA’s signature hospitality alongside refreshments and meeting space for business discussions and informal conversations. The IWMA team will also be on hand to provide guidance, introductions and practical exhibition support, helping members make the most of their time in Shanghai.

Visitors can collect the latest issue of IWMA Insider magazine, learn more about upcoming exhibitions and events, and discover the benefits of joining IWMA’s global wire and cable industry community.

IWMA members will have the opportunity to connect outside the exhibition hall at The Great Connection, IWMA’s evening networking event, taking place on Wednesday 23 September at CHAR Bar, the rooftop venue at Hotel Indigo Shanghai.

Each IWMA member company is eligible to receive two complimentary tickets, offering the chance to relax, reconnect and build new relationships while enjoying stunning 270-degree views of the Huangpu River and Pudong skyline. Drinks and a light buffet will be included. Additional tickets will be available to purchase for £50 per person. A major new addition to IWMA’s wire China presence for 2026 will be the launch of the “Wire & Cable Hub”, developed in partnership between Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai and IWMA.

Combining exhibition space with an integrated presentation and networking area, the Hub will create a dedicated destination for innovation, technical exchange and industry engagement.

Exhibitor space is fully booked, with IWMA delighted to welcome AFH-Antriebstechnik GmbH, Haehne Force Measurement Technology, Temco Wire Products Limited, Bar Products+Services Ltd, Bhag Digital, GMM Cable Machinery and Innovites B.V.

Alongside the exhibition area, IWMA and Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai are developing a day-and-a-half seminar programme for 22–23 September, featuring technical presentations, market insight and industry discussion.

Sessions will focus on sustainable materials and greener cable manufacturing; smart manufacturing, AI and digital transformation; resilient global supply chains and cost pressures; and future cable demand and high-performance applications.

IWMA’s Data Insight Partner, CRU, will also contribute market intelligence and support two planned panel discussions: “Digital Transformation in Practice: How AI and Smart Manufacturing Are Changing Cable Production” and “Voices from the Field: Market Realities Across the Wire & Cable Industry”.

The Hub will also host Lunch and Link on Monday 21 September from 12:00 to 14:00, marking the opening day of the exhibition and the launch of the new feature area. Complimentary to all IWMA members visiting or exhibiting at wire China, the event will offer a relaxed opportunity to meet fellow members and industry contacts while exploring the Hub.
