02/11/2021 – E-Mobility Days (REDs) staged by Wafios and Gehring in Reutlingen, Germany
Great response, many visitors
This is the preliminary conclusion drawn by the two organisers of the second RED days (Reutlingen E-Mobility Days), Gehring and Wafios, after the first week of the successful in-house exhibition all around the "Efficient Power Train" theme. The event took place from October 18-29, on the premises of Wafios in Reutlingen, Germany.
"We had an extremely large number of trade visitors", explains Wafios CEO Dr.-Ing Uwe-Peter Weigmann already after the first week. "On average, 2 to 4 persons from different departments of a company traveled to Wafios in order to get the latest information on technical innovations in the mechanical engineering sector for the e-mobility of the future", continues Weigmann. "So far, we have received very good feedback from our customers. Like ...
…"We get the feeling that Gehring and Wafios have been cooperating for quite some time already“ or
…"It's incredible what Gehring and Wafios have achieved in such a short time“ as well as
... "How well the teams fit together!"
to quote just a few."
"The interesting technical presentations were also very positively received and thus also well attended", says Marcell Wardin from Gehring.
Other feedback included: "It is really exciting to see the technologies Gehring has developed in the last few months." At Wafios, the "Speed Former" and its "Production of hairpins with highest precision at a cycle time of one second per hairpin" theme was the focus of interest. A visitor commented: "Very interesting what they show in such a small area. It is especially exciting that you can see the machines live."
Numerous, well-known co-exhibitors made the exhibition program complete. Also research and educational institutions were present, among them: the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT) as well as the RWTH Aachen University. "This is a good combination that complements the show well", comments Uwe-Peter Weigmann from Wafios pleased.
So far, visitors came from different business sectors of the industry: e.g. from the automobile and suppliers industry, from the measuring sector as well as automation supply technology. Furthermore, there were Wafios customers from the busbar, spring and wire bending sector as well as wire suppliers. This meant: Many trade and project-related topics could be discussed at a high level.
