Mailleffer: A 120t FPO/FTU for larger reels
The pay-off/take up family now includes a 120t heavyweight. The new “FPO/FTU 120” offers a higher winding capacity for EHV power cable manufacturing lines.

It is designed to make the most of larger and heavier reels. The Floor Take-Up and Pay-Offs are floor traversing machines of portal design, consisting of two vertical stands with pintles. The stands are independent, without being connected by a horizontal shaft. The reel width can reach to up to 12 meters, ideal for road transportation, particularly with land cables. The reel is rotated by a carrier arm, either torque controlled with compensation for winding radius or speed controlled (dancer, accumulator or external reference). Reel rotation, traversing and pintle movements, are activated and controlled by the unit’s panels. Additional features such as machine status, settings and alarms are available from the centralized line control.
