Metalube has also recently been granted the seal of approval, securing its latest international standard accreditation in occupational health and safety management systems ISO 45001. This latest accolade complements its existing ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations and was achieved due to greater OH&S performance. This involved integrating additional aspects of health and safety into the business such as injury prevention, ill-health and worker wellness and wellbeing.

More recent additions include wire rope lubricants and chain oils. It’s been a busy couple of years for the ever expanding Metalube which has recently enjoyed 20% growth.Part of this growth can be contributed to recent strategic partnerships between Italian Industrial Fluid specialist Bellini SpA and USA’s Blachfords. Bellini SpA now distributes the entire Metalube range of Lubricants across Italy and in reverse, Metalube India distributes Bellini’s metal cutting lubricants throughout India. The partnership between H.L Blachford Ltd and Metalube focuses on selling Metalube’s high quality, non-ferrous copper and aluminium wire drawing lubricants across United States, Canada and Mexico.

Metalube has continued to invest back into the business with the introduction of mixing vessels and the introduction of more energy efficient production technology in the Irlam plant.The plant itself has grown by more than 50% with expansion into new premises next door and the purchase of a new manufacturing site nearby.

Metalube is part of the Bishopdale Group, a private holding company for a group of industrial lubricants brands – “Metalube”, “Molyslip” and “UOP”.The company exports 95% of its production to over 90 countries worldwide and has offices in Manchester, Dubai, Mumbai, São Paulo and Shanghai.
