Volme-Draht is a specialised producer of cold-heading and cold extrusion wire designed for demanding forming applications. The company focusses on high process reliability, tight dimensional tolerances, and consistently superior material quality.

Its product portfolio includes cold-heading grades in accordance with EN 10263 as well as a wide range of case-hardening and quenched-and-tempered steels tailored to diverse mechanical and technological requirements.
The wires manufactured by Volme-Draht are used primarily in the production of fasteners and formed components – such as screws, nuts, bolts, rivets, pins, and complex cold formed parts. Engineered for multi-stage forming operations, the materials support stable manufacturing processes while ensuring high component quality. Typical fields of application include the automotive and electrical industries, construction, mechanical engineering, and the wind energy sector.
The company supplies wire in diameters ranging from 2.5mm to 32mm. Depending on size and profile, various delivery formats are available, including coils and carrier-bound bundles, all optimized for efficient processing in automated production environments.
To further enhance surface quality and process stability, Volme-Draht will commission a new premium pickling line in March 2026. The advanced system enables highly precise and reproducible surface treatments, creating the foundation for improved forming characteristics and greater process reliability in downstream manufacturing stages.
