Teijin Aramid awarded “Eco Vadis Gold status” on sustainability
Eco Vadis has prolonged Teijin Aramid's Gold status in the sustainability rating. For the sixth year in a row, the independent and objective assessment shows Teijin Aramid is in the top 6% of sustainable manufacturers of man-made fibers.
Their achievement is a result of 1. fulfilling the ambitions, 2. putting forth effort in implementation, and 3. being transparent in the area of CSR and sustainability. Since 2015 Teijin Aramid has participated in the Eco Vadis Assessment to measure the CSR progress and identify improvement areas. Teijin Aramid emphasizes the principle of sustainable business by benchmarking its environmental, social, and ethical performance. They actively seek objective insights and feedback by participating in Eco Vadis' testing to strengthen the company's sustainability strategy.
Teijin Aramid is measured on 21 parameters, which are divided into four key sustainability indicators. These are 1. Environment, 2. Labor and Human Rights, 3. Ethics and 4. Sustainable procurement. Currently, Eco Vadis has rated more than 90,000 companies, in more than 160 countries on their sustainability efforts. As Eco Vadis adheres to international sustainable development standards, it is regarded as a trustworthy sustainability rating.
