Further articles of this issue reports about drawing, straightening, cutting, and testing of wire as well as on heat and surface treatment, furthermore from joining and stranding to the finished wire product.

The main ‘wire’ trade fair issue that comes out on 16 March will then contain a bundle of further initial reports from the exhibitors. WIRE magazine will be on show at “wire” in hall 9 booth C 13.

This year, WIRE will turn 75 (1951–2026) and its publisher, Meisenbach, will celebrate its 90th anniversary. The “wire” can look back on 40 years at the Düsseldorf trade fair location. Enough reasons to celebrate.

However, the current mood in the industry and market conditions are still standing in the way. The outlook is cautiously wait-and-see. The hope is that the economy will brighten up before and during “wire” and that positive impetus will emanate from the world’s leading trade fair for the wire and cable industry.
