21/02/2025 – First heat scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026

New 190t electric arc furnace

SSAB, one of the world’s most carbon-efficient steel companies, has chosen SMS Group for the construction of a new 190t EAF, which is set to be one of the largest installations in the world with an upper shell diameter of 9.3m.
