Ilse Henne appointed new CEO of Thyssenkrupp Materials Services

The Supervisory Board of Thyssenkrupp Materials Services GmbH appointed Ilse Henne as the new CEO of Thyssenkrupp Materials Services. Ilse Henne succeeds Martin Stillger, who stepped down at the end of May at his own request.

She assumes this role in addition to her function as a member of the Executive Board of Thyssenkrupp AG, where she is also responsible for the North America region. Since the beginning of the year, Ilse Henne has been responsible at AG level for Group-wide topics such as sustainability, information technology, digital platforms and artificial intelligence as well as the Materials Services segment, for which the those specific topics are of great future relevance.

Ilse Henne joined the Thyssenkrupp Group in 1999 and took over sales management of the Belgian subsidiary Thyssenkrupp Christon in the Materials Services segment. From 2002, she was Managing Director there. From 2012 to 2016, she was CEO of the Materials Western Europe/Asia Pacific operating unit. From 2016, as CEO of Thyssenkrupp Schulte and the Operating Unit Materials Germany, she was responsible for Thyssenkrupp's entire materials trading business in Germany. In addition, she again took over the position of CEO of the Materials Western Europe/Asia Pacific operating unit in July 2018. In 2019, Ilse Henne became a member of the Executive Board of Thyssenkrupp Materials Services GmbH, initially as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and since December 2019 as Chief Transformation Officer (CTO). She has been a member of the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp AG since 2024.
