In addition to braiding machines, the company also manufactures spiralling and winding machines as well as payoffs and takeups for a wide range of applications. The braiding machine program includes vertical and horizontal lever arm braiding machines with up to 36 bobbins, which can be used for a maximum core diameter of 65mm (coaxial, control or conductor cables as well as reinforced hoses and catheters for medical technology).

Semi-automatic and fully automatic winding machines can be offered in combination with static single wire and motorized single wire payoffs for reels up to 250mm as well as motorized multiwire pay-offs for reels up to 630mm.

Spiralling machines with up to 24 spools in the vertical direction up to 36 spools in the horizontal direction complete the range for users in the cable and hose industry and medical technology.

SSB offers customers in the cable and hose industry as well as medical technology in addition to the special shielding technology also additional equipments for complete lines, e.g. caterpillars, taping equipment and as mentioned payoffs and takeups.

In principle, SSB can supply besides integrated payoffs and takeups also external payoffs and takeups for drums with a flange diameter of 800 to 2500 mm, whereby the following options can be offered depending on requirements and product:
– Payoffs and takeups with pintles or axles
– Payoffs and takeups with hand pump or electric motors for lifting and lowering as well as opening and closing
– Dancer-controlled payoffs and takeups, mechanically or pneumatically adjustable
– Payoffs and takeups that are controlled by the braiding or spiralling machine or with independent control
– Payoffs and takeups for drum take-up via rollers, dancer-controlled

All units are equipped with Uhing traverses; SSB also offer electric traverses as an option.
