Essen/Germany (Tenova) – The company already operates a bell furnace plant with high performance hydrogen annealing technology (HPH), which Tenova commissioned in 2014. This consists of two annealing bases, a heating hood and a jet cooling hood with a maximum net batch weight of 36 tons of wire rod or drawn wire coils. In spring 2019, a new order was signed for the extension of the existing plant by two additional annealing bases and one additional heating and one additional jet cooling hood each. Production in this new plant is scheduled to start at the beginning of 2020. In addition to soft annealing of wire rod, recrystallization annealing of drawn wire coils using high-performance hydrogen annealing technology is also carried out in this furnace plant. Tenova announces that it has received this order thanks to HPH technology.
