Copolymer coated aluminium tape production line
As “wire 2026 ” in Düsseldorf approaches, cable manufacturers are revisiting the fundamentals: materials that run cleanly at higher speeds, deliver repeatable electrical performance, and hold up in real installation conditions. For Gürfil Foil-Film-Tape+Machinery, this is the right moment to share a major capability upgrade—copolymer coated aluminium tapes, now in production on a new line at our new facility in Istanbul.
Aluminium tape remains a widely used solution for shielding and barrier layers. In practice, however, production teams judge materials by what happens on the line: bonding consistency, tension stability, and how often a material triggers stoppages or quality deviations. Copolymer coating is increasingly specified because it can improve bonding behaviour to polymer layers, support stable taping performance, and reduce process variation that leads to rework or scrap.
Gürfil’s new Copolymer Coated Aluminium tape capability has been developed around these day-to-day requirements. We focus on repeatable coating quality, slit-to-width flexibility, and PAD or SPOOL winding options—so customers can align material format with their taping method and production workflow.
A broader Foil–Film–Tape portfolio for cable manufacturers
Operating in the cable market since 1981, Gürfil has grown as both a raw materials manufacturer and a machinery supplier, exporting a significant share of production to international markets in 60+ countries. Alongside Copolymer Coated Aluminium tapes, our Foil–Film–Tape range includes:
ALU/PET, ALU/PET/SY, ALU/PVC, CU/PET and CU/PET/SY laminates, Polyester film, ETP Copper tape, Mica tape, Fiberglass tape, Kraft & Crepe paper, PP foam and Identification tapes, Semi-Conductive and Swellable/Waterblocking tapes, and Non-Woven solutions—plus Ripcord and Waterblocking yarns and selected Wire products.
Machinery, commissioning and after-sales support
As an IWMA member, Gürfil supports customers not only with materials but also with Braiding and Taping machinery, including commissioning, after-sales technical service, and spare parts support. Combining materials expertise with equipment know-how helps customers shorten start-up times, stabilize production and scale output with confidence. Gürfil look forward to meeting industry partners in Düsseldorf to discuss current needs, new designs, and supply planning for 2026 and beyond.
