A constant through the years
 There are moments in life that quietly shape who we become. Looking back on my career in the spring machinery industry, I realize that WIRE has been one of those constants.

A window to the world
 When I first entered this business more than four decades ago, there was no Internet, no social media, and very limited access to global information. For companies in Taiwan, understanding the international market was not easy. Every issue of WIRE became a valuable source of knowledge. We studied new technologies, followed market developments, and learned about companies we admired. More importantly, we began to understand where our industry was heading.

Connected by a shared passion
 As Simco gradually expanded beyond Taiwan, WIRE became more than a magazine. It became a connection to the global community. Whether through articles introducing new manufacturing technologies, reports from wire Düsseldorf, or stories of companies overcoming challenges through innovation, WIRE continually reminded me that although we came from different countries, we shared the same passion – to build better products and move our industry forward.

From mechanical to AI
 Over the years, I have been fortunate to witness extraordinary changes. We have moved from manually adjusted mechanical machines to CNC-controlled systems, from automation to smart manufacturing, and today we are entering an era shaped by artificial intelligence and digital connectivity. Technologies have changed dramatically, but one thing has remained remarkably constant: behind every innovation is a person with curiosity, determination, and the courage to improve.

Beyond exporting machines
 For Simco, our greatest achievement has never been merely exporting machines to more than 40 countries. It has been the friendships we have built, the trust we have earned, and the opportunity to grow together with customers and partners around the world. Some of those connections began through the international platform that WIRE has helped create.

Looking to the Future
 Being invited to contribute to WIRE’s 75th Anniversary Issue carries special meaning for me. Years ago, I was one of its readers, learning from every issue. Today, it is an honor to share our own story in the very publication that has inspired us for so many years.

May WIRE continue to connect people, inspire innovation, and accompany the next generation of our industry, just as it has accompanied mine.
