The lines are effective for both, short runs and long runs. They are controlled by sensors, to assure fluent and smooth operation. The Videx lines cover the thread range of M-12 to M-27 and length up to 2m before bending. Production speed is 20ppm to 30ppm. The raw material can consist of coils or bars, depending on the customer's choice.

The following operations can be integrated into a line:

1. Cut to length

2. Chamfer cut both ends

3. Thread roll both ends

4. Mark text or logo

5. Bend to shape

A smart-transfer controls all the machines in the line. It dictates the line speed and controls the free flow of material from one machine to the other, stopping the line in case of any fault. One supervisor is enough to handle the raw material supply and the discharge of the finished parts.

All the operations along the line (cut, chamfer, thread bend) are fully monitored by sensors that make sure the parts always feed properly. The machines are fully protected from improper feed, thus avoiding occasional failures and result in higher feed rates and a longer die life.

Quick-change features are standard on all lines, taking the guess work out of the operator, and allowing an efficient production also in small batches of 200 to 500 pieces.

The new lines can also manufacture long studs, up to 6m long, with threads on both ends.

Extrusion of the bar ends, and other secondary operations such as facing and drilling are allowed by adding stations.
