Surface processing of wire and cables
Boockmann Engineering will present their “Helicord” technology for surface processing of wire and cables.

Such as “Welding Wire Finishing” or removal of misprints from cable, their “Helilub” technology for precision solvent-free lubrication of magnet wire, and their “Labtech” range of products for production-related analysis and measuring technology will be showcased at the Cable & Wire West Coast-pavilion
A most remarkable application of “Helicord” is the cleaning of fine and ultra-fine wire, with diameters as small as 20µm, most suitable for the medical industry and others where small diameter wire is used, such as electronics.
The “Helicord” technology is based on friction between a fast-moving wire and a textile cord wound around a wire, strand or insulated cable multiple times, moving rather slowly under push-pull-controlled conditions, creating a multiple 360° contact between constantly renewed cleaning cord and wire. “Helicord” can be run at drawing speeds.
