New flying shear “MDC60-CVL”
The “MDC60-CVL” is a new straightening and cutting machine launched in 2023. This machine is equipped with a numerically controlled flying shear which allows to run special and hard material.

The challenge was to straighten and cut high speed steel from 8mm to 14mm and achieve a rate of 80m/min. Due to the cut quality requirements, the use of rotating cutters was not possible. That’s why Ravni Technologies has developed a linear flying shear. The cut is done between two accurate cutting dies which avoid any deformation. Once again, the French company Ravni has proved its ability to fulfil the customer requirements by offering a full customised solution. During “wire 2024”, Ravni will exhibit a standard straightening and cutting machine “MDC20”, a chamfering machine “MCH40” and a new mesh cutting machine “MGR60”.
