Xinji Aosen Steel Group, established in 2002, has over 8,000 employees and is a prominent player in the Chinese steel production, offering a broad range of products such as billets, construction steel, high-quality carbon steels, and wire products. With its investment in KOCKS RSB® technology, the company is expanding its portfolio and reinforcing its position in the SBQ market. The private steel producer has taken a significant step in entering the “SBQ” straight bar market with the new state-of-the-art rolling mill, designed for an annual capacity of 700,000 metric tons.

The 3-roll “RSB 370++/4” is positioned as a finishing block after 21 H/V stands and rolls straight bars onto the cooling bed with diameters ranging from Ø 20.00mm to 90.00mm. It allows rolling the highest dimensional accuracy with high productivity at the same time, meeting the stringent demands of “SBQ” applications.

In addition to the “RSB 370++/4” in the latest, iF-awarded design, Kocks’ scope of supply included advanced roll shop equipment, remote control features for stand and guide adjustments and BAMICON Octopus software and hardware. It supports the operator during stand and guide preparation and supports the entire process in the

roll shop. During installation and commissioning, experts also provided on-site training for the Kocks equipment.

The successful commissioning is a joint achievement and underlines the close collaboration between Xinji Aosen Steel Group and Kocks. With the “RSB 370++/4” now operational, Xinji Aosen is well-positioned to meet the demand for high-quality “SBQ” products, supporting key industries reliably with high quality long products.
