Since 2019, implementing smart metering systems has reduced our electricity consumption by 34%, reusing off-quality products and waste streams has decreased landfill waste by 25%, and water consumption has been reduced to 100 liters per ton of material through advanced water-saving technologies.

In 2024, as part of ongoing efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of its compounds, Cabopol is set to implement a significant investment project that includes the installation of a 1.22MWp photovoltaic power plant for self-consumption. Together with additional measures projected to reduce energy consumption, it is expected to decrease greenhouse gas emissions by 30% from the company's current levels. The project started in July 2023 and will be completed in June 2025, with the impact on consumption and emissions being accounted for in 2025.

In addition, recent advancements in recycling technologies have enabled Cabopol to duplicate its recycled compounds capacity. These compounds, designed for extrusion and injection processes, offer the same quality and performance as traditional raw materials, contributing to a significant reduction in carbon footprints and supporting the shift toward a circular economy. Through these efforts, Cabopol continues to lead the way in driving sustainable development across the industry.
