Today, especially following the climate conference in Glasgow, the world is on the verge of electrification in many fields and companies are again investing in cable-laying ships. The Prysmian Group started operating its ship ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ back in 2019. Nexans followed in September 2021 with its new flagship ‘Aurora’.
Next year, wire and cable machine manufacturers will have plenty of opportunity to show their technical innovations – hopefully with a physical presence – to a wide public. As well as the worldbeating ‘wire’ fair in Düsseldorf, four ‘wire’ overseas trade fairs are being planned in China, Thailand, Brazil, and India.
