You’ll never walk alone – emerging from the crisis together

This issue of WIRE focuses not just on wire and cable, but also largely on springs. In its articles on spring wire, WIRE reports on drawing and straightening machines. Wafios is launching the successor generation known as the “ZO 26” tension spring machine. In our research section, we bring you news of a project completed by a group of scientists at the Technical University of Ilmenau/Germany. For another successor generation that sets standards, we look at Schmale who has further developed its servo-electric wire bending machine. Process advantages of rolling are described in a contribution from Aachener Maschinenbau. Data acquisition and monitoring are a clear trend in the process industry. Maillefer is therefore expanding its “Smart Monitoring” offering. Increased demands on the final geometry of profile wires are met by an inline measuring system from Fuhr. Quality controls directly in the extrusion line and forward-looking maintenance in stranding round off the cable-related topics.

We will continue to keep you abreast of other projects and products on wire-magazine.de, in our newsletter, on Twitter, LinkedIn and our app.
