Flymca, the most well-known Spanish cable machinery manufacturer has been updating its internal technical department to gain specialization and at the same time improve its customer service.

Sales are mostly focused on European and American countries as well as Asia, for customized machines designed and adapted to each customer according to its requirement, particularly, for special cables for submarine market, either power transmission or fiber optics, including automated mechanism to fulfil the current standards of sustainability, safety and high efficiency.

At the same time, the company continues providing standard equipment to different companies in the rest of the world. The standard production continues to be their recognized high-quality and performance equipment designed for stranding and cabling. This includes machines like bow cablers, rigid/skip/tubular/planetary stranders and drum twisters, enjoying a strong market reputation thanks to their productivity and reliability.

2024 will be a year mainly focused on the production of large customized machines for submarine and off-shore cables, especially for HV and FO. The main requested equipment are following:
– Rigid stranders for bobbins dia. 630mm or 800mm DIN, prepared for production of conductors up to 4,000mm2 with round, rectangular or trapezoidal wires and multiple number of options to add water blocking compounds, tapes, yarns, etc.
– Armoring lines designed for bobbins Dia. 800mm or 1000mm, with multiple number of positions per stranding cage, prepared with automated loading systems that minimize the stopping times as well as integrate advanced control tension devices; stranding cages designed to operate in planetary or rigid modes, even with variable back-twist. Lines that include systems for applying PP-yarns, special tapes and bitumen on the wires and cables’ surface, along with high-capacity caterpillars designed for heavy pulling. Lines including also FO elements cabled with rest of wires for pay-off reels up to Dia. 1,250mm.

In the ABC market, this year will be a continuation of the previous ones with several sets of highly efficient heavy-duty bow cabling lines, tubular and rigid stranders with Flymca’s well known and advanced technical solutions. Despite all the problems that occurred in previous years that converged in enormous instability in prices and deliveries, Flymca shows optimism with the current situation and hopes to continue growing in size but also in quality and reliability as well as bringing top class technical solutions. Customers can find Flymca at the wire and cable exhibitions from April 15th to 19th in Düsseldorf. A later show will be in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA on June 11th and 12th.
