The welding machines of the “PLT Ladder B” series ensure reliable operation and cost-effective production of spacers direct from coil.

The sophisticated design of each machine component, combined with the compact layout, enables minimal changeover times for different product heights and long maintenance intervals.

The machines weld the transverse against the longitudinal wires using flush/face (“T”) weld, rather than overlapping welding. The unique “T” welding heads produce spacers that stack perfectly in compact bundles without the need for rotation, unlike conventional sleeve spacers with overlap welding. They are preferred by installers for the following reasons:

– They can be easily repositioned

– They don't snag

– No risk of injury from protruding wires

– They are ideally suitable for use directly on foil

Significant material saving is another major advantage of the “T” weld, versus the overlap welding.

The unique (patented) bending system ensures excellent repeatability, perfect product geometry, and works synchronously with the welding process to eliminate downtime during production. The bending system uses pneumatically operated bending units.

Integrated into the bending system, a flexible automatic stacking unit is used to produce bundles with the programmed quantity of spacers during production.

The Eurobend solution for the production of S-spacers is combined with an integrated, fully automated bundling and strapping station which is completely synchronised with the production flow eliminating downtimes. The finished strapped bundles are then automatically transferred to a buffer table.

The machine offers maximum production flexibility and is ideal for just-in-time production and fast product changeovers. This significantly reduces the space required for storing the various product types.
