Visitors will be able to observe the new “Precision Cut UD0” straightening and cutting machine in action. It is capable of processing even thin wires with sensitive surfaces precisely and efficiently.

Rotary straightening is the process of choice for a wide variety of parts made from wire or pipe. “Rotary straightening offers the best options here, whether our customers want to produce thin and straight components, thick and right-angled ones, or short parts with a profile,” explains Peter Renz, CEO of Jouhsen-Bündgens. Based near the city of Aachen in western Germany, the company specializes in wire processing and aims to develop the right solution for every need. Renz says: “Rotary straightening is increasingly being used in new fields, such as medical engineering or electric vehicles. With this in mind, we are looking forward to some interesting discussions with customers and potential customers at wire 2020.”

Visitors will be able to watch the Precision Cut UD0, the company’s newest and smallest straightening and cutting machine, live in action at the stand. “Components are becoming thinner and thinner, and the requirements for straightness and surface finish are extremely demanding,” says Renz. The UD0 is helping Jouhsen-Bündgens meet these challenges. Precise and efficient, the machine’s compact size allows it to process both long and short sections of wire measuring 0.05mm to 1.5mm in diameter and 3mm to 3,000mm in length. A UD0 with roller support will be on show at the Jouhsen-Bündgens booth.
