Manchester/Great Britain (Metalube) – The quality control department has also capitalised in a new Automated Viscosity and Density Meter which speeds up and improves accuracy of viscosity testing. The latest Reactor is a modular laboratory reactor for simulation and optimisation of chemical reactions as well as homogenising processes in a laboratory scale. It offers torque control, heat control and homogenisation allowing the company to optimise production efficiency and aiding scalability. Chris Nettleship, Technical Director said: “Both these investments allow us to be more efficient and offer higher standards of customer service.” He adds: “This LR-2.ST laboratory reactor has given us the potential to develop new and innovative greases and lubricants and catapulted our research and development capabilities to the next level The Reactor means that development samples can be a true representation of what happens in the plant environment.”
